I understand now why David poured out his heart in Psalms. Truly as you cry out to the Lord it brings you to a place of remembrance of the great God that we serve. Somehow it encourages you to keep on the good fight of faith. I t's because as you cry out to the Lord you get into his presence and as it says in Exodus 33:14 "My presence will go with you and I will give you rest".
Here's my Psalm from this morning. I woke up this morning feeling so down. You know it's really hard losing your husband because as my boss said you are no longer somebody's number 1. Yes I know that I'm always number one for God but that's so different from the affirmation you get from your husband.
Lord, the words says to cast all our cares upon you because you car for us. How Lord, how do I cast this care upon you? How do I cast this pain upon you? How do I release this pain onto you. Lord can you lift this pain from my heart? Can you lift this loneliness from me, can you take this duldrum away? Lord can you give my my purpose in life? Can you pick me up and place me on the path you have ordained for me? Lord sometimes I feel so alone, so lost, sometimes I feel like a woman without a purpose. But yet my Lord I will honor you, I will praise you, I will dance for you for I know in you I have my strength, my reason for being, in you I have my joy and though crying may endure for the night, joy comes in the morning. Lord bring me to that morning, to that joy. I love you Lord because you first loved me. You are wonderful.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
